The weather has been at best unpredictable here in the south Puget Sound. A couple weeks ago I threw a bunch of old Lacinato kale seeds in a tray to see what would happen. And despite the wind, snow, rain, and all the years that have passed since the sun shone on those pods I collected the seeds from, last Sunday I found sprouts.
Like many things in life Lacinato kale will will surprise you, but refreshingly for me it has always been with its reliability.
No matter what kale will sprout given time and just an inkling of the right circumstances. It is versatile and nourishing.
So my motto from here on out is to be more like kale.
